Alisa began her legal career practicing insurance defense litigation first at a prominent insurance defense firm whose cases have shaped much of the current automobile insurance regime and subsequently as in-house insurance defense counsel with a leading insurer. Alisa then went on to found a notable personal injury litigation firm with a strong focus on access to justice. In her role as counsel, Alisa has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, as well as administrative tribunals, handling thousands of files throughout her career both as plaintiff and defense counsel and conducting over 500+ mediations.
Alisa has also spent the earlier part of her legal career as lead contract negotiator with a Canadian national broadcaster where she negotiated a number of high-stakes multi-million dollar agreements with international broadcasters, film studios and production companies.
Alisa attended the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario before obtaining her LLB from Robson Hall. In 2018, Alisa completed two Advanced Negotiations Strategies Certificate Programs at Harvard University which profoundly shaped her passion for mediation.
Today, Alisa takes a fresh approach to mediations by facilitating resolution at any stage of conflict while providing a meaningful mediation experience.
